MODEL IT
in the first model it class we made these little houses from balsa and lined them all up to make a street
we also had to make scale models of barcelona pavillion over our break
we then made our own models from balsa, boxboard and a found material
my found material was basically paper, shocking result
our next task was to make a scaled site plan of fisher house at 1:200
i made my trees out of wax, using aluminium foil as molds to pour the melted wax in
our next (horrible) task was to make a 1:50 scale model of fisher house. IT WAS A BLOODY NIGHTMARE, here are some progress shots/finals
all in all model it was an excruciating but useful module. it was a real test of patience and sanity. whilst im glad to have done this assessment in hindsight, at the time making models week after week i really hated it.

DRAW IT poster
reflection of draw it: i thought the draw it component of communications was a good starting assessment for 1st year university students. it had a simple brief, and allowed the students to familiarise themselves with 1 well known building and understand how to communicate designs and ideas through drawings.

DRAW IT
in the following week our whole class walked around campus and were given perspective drawings exercises, (one from memory).
we were also given 1 of 4 houses to base our assignment on at random, i was given the stutchbury house.
for the assingment we had to draw plans, sections, elevations and a perspective/axonometric of the house.
below are some photos of the progression of my perspective and some final shots of the plans/sections/elevations.
